When Eberlestock announced the Brute Series, the big question was how it actually differed from the standard Mod Frame setup. After a brief look, it turns out the difference is pretty straightforward. The Mod Frame is going to be for those who want the ability to change bags.
The Brute Series, on the other hand, does not allow you to change bags. It’s a dedicated, integrated system that comes in slightly lighter and a bit more affordable, all while functioning exactly the same where it counts. You also get slightly more padding on the shoulder straps of the Brute. My understanding is that the Brute series was introduced to give consumers a all-in-one package. If you're not interested in swapping bags on a single frame, I'd say the Brute series is the way to go.
