Epic Universe has a BRAND-NEW way to end your park day. 🎆✨
Tonight marked the debut of Celestial Goodnight, the park’s new nighttime fireworks show, and it was definitely bigger than we expected.
Universal described it as a fireworks moment...but it’s actually 9 straight minutes of fountains, lasers, lighting effects, and fireworks celebrating each of the park’s lands before ending with a huge finale behind Helios Grand Hotel.
This isn’t trying to be a Disney-style 25-minute nighttime spectacular—and it doesn’t need to be. Instead, it feels like the perfect “goodnight” to your day, bringing you back through the adventures you just experienced in Super Nintendo World, the Wizarding World, Dark Universe, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, and more.
One thing we noticed? The lagoon was PACKED tonight (it was opening night, after all!), but we don’t think you’ll need to camp out for hours in the future. If you want the best view, plan to grab a spot around the lagoon facing Helios about 15–30 minutes before the 9PM show.
Prefer one last ride? Crowd levels dropped significantly during the final 30 minutes before showtime, making it one of the best times of the day to hop in line.
Overall, this feels like a fantastic new finale for an Epic Universe day—and one we think is absolutely worth seeing if you can.
