The First Line, Buy Challenge!
Booktube, readers, here are the rules:
1) shop online or enter a bookstore/library with camera and (not counterfeit) money. You are also not allowed to rob the store in order to obtain the books.
2) start reading the first lines of books - YOU CANNOT look at the back of the books or read the summary. You have to go into it blind, basing your judgement off of title, cover, and most importantly, how gripping the first line is.
3) You ARE allowed to look up if the book is part of a series to make sure you aren't buying book 7 of a series you haven't read yet.
4) make your purchase/rental, then finally read the back or summary and see what you're getting yourself into!
(this video has been sitting on my laptop since February, so I didn't go out without a mask during the....ahem, event. And you better not go out without a mask either, or you'll wake up with me sitting on your chest, just silently judging you)
