On February 26, the first high-altitude wind turbine rolled off the production line at the Nimu New Energy Equipment Industrial Park in Xizang, marking the park’s official entry into full wind turbine manufacturing.
Specially designed for high-altitude and complex environments, this next-generation turbine features a capacity of 5.X–6.X MW and a rotor diameter exceeding 195 meters. It operates efficiently at elevations up to 6,000 meters, where air density ranges from 0.6 to 1 kg/m³, and withstands low temperatures, high turbulence, and strong radiation.
The Nimu Industrial Park integrates wind turbine and hub assembly lines, with an annual production capacity of 1.2 GW. As the first clean energy equipment base in Lhasa, it plays a vital role in supporting China’s dual carbon goals and promoting sustainable development in Xizang.
