Blue Poet Productions | First Friday At Trenton Social (Time Lapse) November 6th, 2015 @BluePoetProductions | Uploaded November 2015 | Updated October 2024, 6 hours ago.
DescriptionTrenton Social’s featured November artist is Antoinette Marchfelder. Her style of mix media and vibrant colors has been influenced by her journey coming from Costa Rica to the Trenton area. In Costa Rica, Antoinette lived between the lowland rain forest and the Caribbean Sea for 25 years. Surrounded by rich colors and wild life gave her inspiration to create art. At that time, she owned a gift shop and made many of the items that she sold, depicting the fauna and flora of the region.
Moving back to the United States after living abroad for so long was not easy, especially culturally. Slowly her journey has brought strength, healing and an awareness of gratitude and peace to her soul. Antoinette’s art work is a blend of bright colors, capturing nature, but mostly her work is dedicated to women.
“A Force of Nature to be Reckoned With” depicts a harmony of colors, layers of paint, gesso, ink, and strength of women who journey through storms and always stand back up no matter what they face.
