So I recently got back into FPV flying and a lot has changed in the five years I was away. I wanted to slowly transition to digital after flying analog for so long. I really like the Cobra X goggles since my eyes have gotten worst and I need reading glasses. They fit great in the Cobra X.
I found the Avatar VRX though usual YouTube folks but heard the latency was a problem with the Cobra X. Still found plenty of folks managing to freestyle with it so decided to take the risk. It arrived yesterday and was easy to put together and get the firmware upgraded.
The flight was during a meeting break I had at work while working from home. I had both the vTX and VRX DVRs running. This is from the VRX DVR since it can show all the data. No microphone on the DVRs so will try to add music to the video.
The wind was a bit high and it was just above freezing. I think the cold air made the quad feel a bit heavier which is why I had a couple bounces off the grass. Also not used to the quad just yet since I keep modifying it...also haven't tuned it yet either.
I felt like I was able to fly fine and as able to do a bit of freestyle as well. In my normal flying area I noticed no breakup at all unlike analog and found the flight quite enjoyable....even though I was standing in cold weather. My old takeaway was to move the camera a bit back so it doesn't get as dirty on crash. Also learning to love turtle mode.
