I've now been in South Korea for 3 weeks determined to become fluent in the Korean language.
A big part of ensuring success in a foreign language while immersed abroad is to make local friends and not spend too much time with foreigners. I've made every effort over my first few weeks to make new friends and practice my Korean with every chance I get.

Memrise just announced that theyre rebranding to a free community site called Decks.
Its unclear if this will change any of the current functionality of Memrise courses (they seem to insist it wont). Either way, its actually really easy to download your existing courses to your computer as Anki decks.
Go to nodejs.org and download your OS version of npm (Node Package Manager). If youre using Linux or BSD, you can install npm through your systems ports or packages.
Run: npm install memanki-cli -g
Then run: memanki id ####### (course ID number taken from url in your browser)
You can also run: memanki merge id ####### (this will merge all course decks into one big deck.")
