Each Friday I share the first chapter of a book perfect for middle school readers. Today I’m going to be reading aloud from a mystery titled: Coop Knows the Scoop by award winning Taryn Souders. What is a red herring? What is the Edgar Award? How does an author keep all the characters and plot straight when writing a mystery? Author Taryn Souders answers all these questions and more in our interview together after I read the first chapter aloud.
