Went and stayed on Catalina Island a couple nights, for my first bikepacking trip. Lots of uphill and lots of downhill, bumpy roads and spiders in the night.
David and I explored the area around Avalon and got some dinner, then rode to Blackjack campground, totaling about 21 miles the first day. Day two we visited the airport, and then rode back to Avalon for lunch and more exploring, we began our climb and ride to Little Harbor campground around 4 p.m. and rode about 33 miles that day. Day three we packed up and rode back to Avalon to relax for a while before it was time for the ferry, about 20 miles total. We had some time to check out the botanical gardens which is always fun.
