Our first Bespoke Modules (BMODs) have been loaded in ready for installation on Prototype Block 10 for the Hunter Class Frigate Program. 🏗️ 🚢
BMODs are main support structures which services and equipment, such as pipework or HVAC ducting, are attached to.
Manufactured by Century Engineering Pty Ltd, the BMODs are completed off-ship and loaded in as a complete unit – saving time and labour by reducing the need to work inside the confined conditions of a block or ship.
Prototyping is continuing to refine our tools, processes, and personnel. This is being done in parallel to the seven Hunter blocks already in production, which will be used in the first frigate.
