Swedish duo First Aid Kit released their highly anticipated album Ruins on January 19.
Produced by Tucker Martine (My Morning Jacket, Laura Veirs), the album was recorded in Portland, OR where the duo collaborated with amazing musicians — REM’s Peter Buck, Wilco’s Glenn Kotche, and Midlake’s McKenzie Smith. Ruins is now available and includes lead single “It’s A Shame” as well as “Postcard”.
Ruins follows the band’s Columbia Records debut Stay Gold, a lush and ambitious 10-song collection that beautifully captures their vivid storytelling, landing First Aid Kit countless “Best of 2014” accolades. Earlier this spring, the duo also released a stand-alone single on International Women’s Day entitled "You Are The Problem Here". It is an empowered, passionate, and angry song that confronts the rape culture epidemic, with a portion of proceeds donated to Women for
Women International.
We met them in Paris, at "Le Passage du Grand Cerf" for an acoustic and enchanted live of their new single: "It's a shame".

For Marlon Roudette, former leader of the band Mattafix, success came after the release of his first solo album ‘Matter Fixed’, and the broadcasting of the videoclip ‘New Age’ on Youtube, which was viewed more than 15 millions times… 3 years later, he comes back with a new album, ‘Electric Soul’, and a single bearing a quite suggestive name: ‘When The Beat Drops Out’. This track has the characteristic to use the steel-drum, an instrument originating from the Caribbeans, that Marlon used to practice during his childhood spent on these islands. That’s the track he performs here, where all the ingredients for a hit song are gathered, in a beautiful acoustic interpretation!")

Created in 2011, the French electronic band PANZER FLOWER becomes famous in 2014 with its single ‘We Are Beautiful’. With already more than 3 million views online, the trio formed in Montpellier is a huge success. Called ‘Best Rising Stars’ by the French music magazine Rock and Folk, their music video was largely broadcasted on TV & radios in France and the song appears in the Top 15 of the sales.They owe the success of their song to a subtle mix of Californian singer-ex-leader of the band Tower Power Hubert Tubbs vocals and electro pop sounds.
It’s in a completely different style that the band presents their last song ‘Magik’.
Slower and softer, the melody doesn’t lose for all that its intensity communicated by vocalist Mike Louvila.

They came from nowhere, not really from nowhere, but nobody had seen them coming. Clemens started composing alone and was quickly joined by Philipp, the second member of « Milky Chance« . They didnt really know what they were doing, but they only thing sure is that they wanted to keep moving forward and make some more music. They even created their own label called « Lichtditch Record ».
For Clemens, melancholia is the best feeling to write songs about, its the state of mind that inspires him the most.
They played for us, their long-known, but yet still amazing, song « Stolen Dance« , at Fargo a record store in Paris.")
