Emirates has become the world’s first airline to operate an A380 demonstration flight using 100% Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). This is also the first time that drop-in SAF is used on an A380 aircraft, with successful compatibility across its existing systems.

Today’s demonstration flight, in collaboration with Airbus, GE Aerospace, Pratt and Whitney, Neste, Virent, and ENOC, paves the way for future standardisation, qualification and adoption for 100% SAF flying, and underlines its performance and compatibility as a safe and reliable fuel source.
