Pagara is a long stretch of firecrackers strung together to keep them going. The one on Pietermaii in old parts of Willemstad Curaçao, was extremely long on New Years Eve of 2013 and went on for 30 minutes! It was loud, smokey and debris shattered into the air. At times it looked like scary images one seen from warzones around the world. But this was lots of fun that attracted a big crowd. There was a marching drum band following the Pagara as the smoke cleared. A lot of the people joining this Pagara party took a drink at Rock Beach once it was over.
