[BUSTER ONLY] = Can only use the Mega Buster

There are two problems with this stage. The first is obviously the room with the fire tunnel where you have to do very precise movements to get through. The second is having to deal with inconsistent enemy movement like the Tackle Fires floating downward and the Killer Bullets near the end.
FireMan himself is the easiest thing about this stage, as you can simply jump+fire repeatedly and you'll dodge his attacks all the time.

8-1 Equip either the Ground Dash or the Dark Hold. I prefer the Dark Hold so here is my strategy with it.
When Heatnix creates the lava, go on the ground at the bottom level. Make sure you dont get hit by Pegasus on your way there and be quick, otherwise Heatnix might create the lava at the top of the screen and your likely to have to reset the whole thing. While Heatnix swims in the lava, keep switching platforms quickly to prepare for Heatninx or Pegasus rising up. Practice to learn when Heatnix will rise up and position yourself properly. Spam mid-level charged shots on Heatnix. Heatnix will almost always go to create lava after he has been spitting many fireballs in a row. When he spits many fireballs, prepare to go to the bottom level for the upcoming lava.
When at 1/2 health, Heatnix has a chance of adding the God Bird attack to his arsenal. The idea is to wait for him to be close to 1/3 and use he Dark Hold to freeze both Maverick and spam mid-level charged shots on Heatnix to try and quickly kill him before he gets to use the God Bird attack.
After Heatnix is dead, get rid of Pegasus. His diving attacks are more dangerous here because of the layout of the room. Dash to the sides and jump depending on what he does. You need a bit of luck here.
8-2 Bring the Magma Blade.
Spam mid-level charged shots on Wolfang or Necrobat (Only if you get opportunities on Necrobat). When Wolfang is close to being at 1/2 health, prepare the charged Magma Blade. Fire the charged Magma Blade to hit Wolfang. The shots come out on the same vertical level as you so move around so the fire hits Wolfang. While the fire is moving across the screen, charge the Magma Blade again to keep hitting Wolfang over and over again until he dies. Finish off Necrobat.
8-3 The worst part of this stage. Bring the Crescent Shot and keep charging it. You worst enemy is the water physics from X5 and Whales ability to push you in spikes (Instant death) when he is almost dead.
Watch Metal Shark and wait for him to do his attack where he swims along the surface of the ground. When he does this, jump over to Whales face and fire the charged Crecent Shot. Try to stay in front of Whale to keep hitting him with the weapon. If you see Metal Shark doing the same ground swimming attack, jump and hover high enough to clear Shark and stay right next to Whale to keep hitting him.
If you see Metal Shark jump diagonally to go on top of you and try to drop on you, move away from whatever you were doing to dodge it. Try to remain on the ground otherwise Shark will likely hit you in the air with his attacks.
If Shark does 2 hammer drops in a row, the third or fourth time he will go underground. When he is underground, go to the left wall and prepare to dash out of the way when he pops out.
Return to hitting Whale at any opportunity. (Except when Shark is doing hammer drops.)
You need luck in this fight because if Shark decides to spam metal anchors, youll likely be overwhelmed.
When Whale is about at 1/3 health, stay close to him with a charged Crescent Shot attack always ready. Because you need to deal as much damage to him as possible to avoid having to deal with his final attack where he pushes you in the spikes.
I like to go to the top of the left wall (Out of Sharks way) and hit Whale as soon as he comes back on screen for his final atttack, drop down and hit him again before he gets to align himself with X.
Hopefully Whale will die before he can push you off.
To take out Shark, youll need to learn to dodge his attacks. Most of them are easy. Except his final attack where he summons old Mavericks. Keep using mid-level charged shots to deal damage and dash jumping to dodge.
Blast Hornet - Position yourself under Shark or under Hornet and fire charged shots so the plasma trail will destroy the small hornets. Focus on that before going back to attacking Shark.
Magna Centipede - Jumping in the right rhythm to attack Shark allows you to dodge Centipedes shurikens but you need to practice that.
Sting Chameleon - This what you want Shark to do. Its essentially a freeby. Go to the wall and spam mid charged shots on Shark while Chameleons attacks harmlessly pass below you.
Hard Mode bosses deal more damage (especially collision damage) and they take less damage as well. You have to practice and learn how the bosses work. A lot.

Ive been wanting to do a sort of animated remake of this scene from the intro of Mega Man 4 (which is my favorite classic Mega Man game (Or close to my favorite anyway)). I originally wanted to use the original NES music but I asked Kevin if he was interested in making a remix of the song in kind of a MM11 style. He accepted.
The most time consuming part was to draw all the Robot Masters. Their artwork is an HD re-drawing of the art from the Complete Works version of the game. Even so, I had to draw some of them from scratch like BrightMan, DiveMan and ToadMan since they were hidden by other characters on the original art. Also DiveMan didnt even have a head.
Another time consuming part was animating the background in the tunnel and its associated shading.
Mega Man was animated in different modules. His hair, helmet, eyebrows, eyes and shading are all animated separately to avoid having to redraw him entirely every time I want to make a change.
I hope you enjoy the result.

I wanted to remaster the animation in Clip Studio Paint EX in 60 frames per second and to add more shots before the actual attack.
This attack concludes an intense battle between Shampoo and a character called Meilin. Both women take a lot of damage during this fight but Shampoo had one trick up her sleeve that Meilin could not predict...
I did the animation and editing.

This video shows my first attempt at stage 9-4 and then a successful run of stage 9-4.
9-1 Bring the Shotgun Ice.
Fire in the perfect rhythm to deal quick damage to Mandrill. Hovering is the key to this. Dont stay on the walls.
When Turtloid does the Owari da! attack, get to the wall and hover while facing it. Fire Shotgun Ice shots so their spread takes out Turtloids projectiles.
When Turtloid does his final attack, again, hover next to the wall facing away from it, fire charged shots to hit the falling Meteor Rain, then slide down the wall using the saber to hit any remaining Meteor Rain shots coming your way.
9-2 Buster these guys. You need to keep your Chameleon Sting and Meteor Rain ammo for 9-3.
Focus on Metal Shark Player with mid-level charged shots while watching out for Eagle. As usual stay on the ground and react to Sharks attacks with tall dash jumps out of his way. The only thing that can mess this up is if spams Metal Anchors too much. Or if Eagle is in your way of dodging Sharks summon attacks.
9-3 An RNG nightmare. Equip the Meteor Rain, but charge the buster for the first attack.
Hit Dynamo with Meteor Rain shots. 2 Meteor Rain shots if you can go on the wall behind him. 1 shot to his face if you cant go to the wall. If you fire your shots in his face, it will hit him twice. Hitting Dynamo a second time after stunning him will automatically make him jump to the other side of the room.
During your quest to kill Dynamo, try to do some maintenance on the orbs Gate throws at you whenever you can to deal some damage to Gate and make the fight manageable.
Red orbs are a priority. You have to take them out otherwise they will eat your inputs and most likely get you killed.
The orbs take 5 shots. 1 fully charged shot + 1 mid-charged shot.
When Dynamo is at half health and you see him go to the center of the screen, if you are safe from harm, switch to Chameleon Sting and charge it. Use the pause menu if necessary to avoid wasting ammo when you start charging the weapon.
Trigger your invincibility when Dynamo starts his attack from the center of the screen, then spam sets of 2 shots on him to deal heavy damage. Destroy Gates orbs as they get to you.
Your invincibility should wear off as Dynamo jumps away from the center of the room. So youll be able to repeat the same pattern 3 other times.
When only Gate is left, lure him around the room. Make sure that Dynamos ghost jumps to the proper corner for his attack. He always jumps on the side of the screen you are not in.
Dynamos ghost has no hit box so dont worry about running into him
Gate is so RNG heavy. No matter how much you practice, Gate can completely screw things up.
9-4 All your special weapons energy, life energy and extra-lives are restored for this secret battle. Beating them or losing all your lives will take you to the credits. You cant practice this fight.
Use the invincibility to deal some damage and wait for Zero to dash to the lower right corner. When he does, climb to the top of the wall.
Keep jumping from the wall. Jump away and hover to dodge the rising energy shots. Your cue to drop further down to lure the first energy ring is when the saber wave is exiting the screen.
Fire Shotgun Ice shots when Zero fires his first energy ring and between the 2nd and 3rd rising ground shots. If you fire ice too often, their spread will ding off Zeros saber wave.
When out of Shotgun Ice, charge the invincibility and drop down to hit both X and Zero. Drop after Zero used the saber wave. Go back up the wall after Zeros next 2 energy rings started to move away. Repeat. Remember to use the pause menu to avoid wasting ammo.
With Zero dead, stay at the top again and wait for X to bounce off the wall to drop down and fire at him.
Watch out for a charged Ray Arrow attack when X glows purple.
Good luck.
