A baseboard heater is being blamed for an early morning apartment fire in Kansas City’s Historic Northeast neighborhood, Tuesday. Firefighters rescued five people trapped by smoke on the upper floors, and four of them were sent to the hospital for a precautionary check for smoke inhalation. The fire has displaced all of the building’s residents.
