Warped | Firecracker Explosion at 1,000,000 Million Frames Per Second - Ultra Slow Motion @WarpedYT | Uploaded 7 years ago | Updated 4 hours ago
1,000,000 Frames per second in full color, exposure and Flicker free was the goal we achieved with the Ultra High Speed Phantom V2512 from Vision Research. Fun Fact, at 1mil FPS 1sec of real time = 12hrs of video
This Is the first color 1m fps video on youtube.
We picked on of the smallest and fastest things we could find in our studio, a firecracker.

High-speed video cameras record such moments, enabling visualization through slow-motion replay. This technology is used as an important analysis tool in a variety of fields including materials failure, electric discharge, explosions, and microscopic phenomena. In recent years, such observations have progressed to ever higher speeds and increasing detail, leading to calls for ultra-high-speed recording far in excess of conventional recording speeds.

Our eyes are incapable of capturing phenomena occurring at times shorter than 50 to 100 ms. As a result, high-speed video cameras have become necessary in order to record phenomena occurring at intervals that cannot be seen with the human eye, and then replay them at a slower rate so that they can be visualized.

We are continually trying to catch up to capabilities of Vision Research Cameras and i believe we finally made it, we achived this ultra high speed video in full color and full exposure at and f-stop of f16 which is very amazing.
we hope you enjoy this video and the warped dimension that the ultra slow motion cameras allow us to see into, these cameras prove that the perception of time is in fact just perception and multi dimensional as so many things are going on in that very short amount of time that we can never perceive otherwise.

Vision Research manufactures the absolute best, most insane and user friendly High Speed cameras, and one of the best cinema cameras in the world, just wanted to throw that out there because as a filmmaker i deeply appreciate that at a spiritual level.

Thanks to all the hard working engineers and everyone else at Vision Research for being so passionate and creating this world changing technology !!.

Thanks To Vision Research and Carbon 12 , without them none of this would be possible.
