Here is some footage from mid-morning on Main Street in Hillsboro, Oregon after fire broke out about 3:45 AM on Jan 2nd, 2022. No human life was lost, the building is lost. It was built over 100 years ago and has been one of the Mainstays of the historic downtown Hillsboro skyline. Businesses Lucia Isabell Collection (dress and gown shop) and Weichert Realty are among the businesses lost. Fire crews from Hillsboro, Cornelius, Banks, and Forest Grove, Oregon joined forces to put out the blaze which burned most of the day. The block on Main Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenues will be closed for a while so the damage and soundness of the building can be evaluated. Hillsboro's historic Venetian Theater and Hillsboro Pharmacy, beloved icons, have survived this fire. The roof and mid-story floors collapsed. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
