Finn returns to his home on Local Action with his first solo single since 2022's acclaimed Everything is Alright LP on 2 B REAL, anticipating some longer-form Finn projects to come later this year.
A new dance banger in the classic Finn style, it’s his first release since getting out the box — mixing everything on a ‘90s Mackie and Tascam four-track for extra crunch, with as little time spent on sound design as possible. He takes full advantage of the new set-up here, pushing things into the richest shades of red. Every mix is the Hot Mix from here on out, basically.
Outside of the studio, Finn has been busy building his club residencies in London and Manchester, where each month he plays all night with a different guest — previous sparring partners include Special Request, Eclair Fifi, DJ Voices, UNIIQU3, Tom Boogizm and CCL. We want to emphasise this, because in an age of endless discussion about failing club nights and dwindling ticket sales, Finn’s built a regular club night across two cities that’s successful without ever compromising his vision for it. This deserves more recognition.
