My “Autumn in Albany” vintage junk journal is finished! I wanted a kind of soft autumn mood - golden and pale green, but with all the pretty autumn colors as well. Victoria’s pretty “Autumn Garden” digital kit gave me the perfect pages and I combined these with other designer papers, vintage papers and recycled items in my stash. I created the cover from a recycled book, using a mixed media sponging technique and a lovely digital image from the kit on the front. The journal closes with a soft sari silk ribbon bow and a hitch-post fastener. Lots of lace and fabric ruffles peek out the side. The journal is 8.5 inches by 5.5 inches in size with a chunky 1.5-inch spine. There are three hand sewn signatures with 164 pages altogether! I have used a mix of vintage, hand dyed and beautiful designer papers throughout. 36 artistic pockets and tuck spots are stuffed with 44 pieces of ephemera for interest and extra journaling.
