While this video is focused around WeCreate MakeIt! software, the concepts are applicable to any laser engraver. Most laser software applications have the ability to create test grids as well as several online tools that you can use to generate test cards.

A material test should be run for all new material that you have not used before. This allows you to determine the proper settings for all future jobs using that material. We'll take a look at configuring fill engrave and a cut test cards that you can save and run every time you introduce a new material. You'll set these to the side to reference for future jobs.
