Stop switching from chest to head voice. Finding your true mix is going to be different for most singers. I had to retrain how I was singing because without really knowing it, I was switching from chest to head voice (switching from singing low to high) rather than mixing which keeps chest voice and head voice working together at all times. No need to make both these registers separate or in their own category because that is what causes a “break” in the sound. Singers need to learn how to use both chest and head voice together, as one cohesive unit.
