Onam is more than just Kerala’s harvest festival—it’s a time for homecoming, unity, and celebration of abundance. Today, my thoughts are with “God’s Own Country,' longing for the lively traditions, the elegant kasavu saree, the joy of pookalams, and especially—the Onam Sadhya, a grand vegetarian meal served on a banana leaf, representing prosperity and gratitude.
Hope everyone had a joyful Onam filled with love, good food, and harmony.
Although I couldn't travel to Kerala to enjoy the authentic sadhya, I found a place in Delhi to sample one—Suprasaad restaurant. It was pretty good, quite flavorful. Can you guess the one thing I think shouldn't be on the banana leaf?
