A ride along the Finch Corridor Path 2.1km from Yonge St. to Bathurst St on August 31, 2011.

The path forms Toronto Bicycle Route 44, the main east-west route in North York. It stretches from North York Centre west 12km to Norfinch Dr, primarily along the Finch Hydro Corridor.

Although August 31 was supposed to be the completion date, the path was not finished. The 5km portion between Yonge and Dufferin had already been open to the public for over a month, but lines had not yet been painted, and the traffic signals were not yet operating.

West of Dufferin, the path was not even paved yet, and was not open at all. It did not open to the public for another month, was not completed until 2013.

This video shows the 2.2km segment from Yonge to Bathurst. Stay tuned for the next segment, from Bathurst to Dufferin. This video is inspired by the excellent tours of Dutch cycle facilities done by Mark Wagenbuur (Youtube user markenlei).
