I have worked on and off in 3D animation for over a decade or so. Started in Maya then shifted to Houdini and C4D. After 2020 I was strictly using Cinema4D and as Maxon kept raising prices and forcing me to use render engines I didn't like while barely adding any impressive features each year I felt it was time to finally make the shift to Blender. It has only been a few months and to be honest once I got over a few workflow adjustments I feel I would never go back to any other software unless I was forced to via a work pipeline. Blender does tend to crash quite often, especially when using add-ons by third parties, but overall for the price of free and the ability to code my own add-ons and features I feel will balance out the frustration.
