In today’s video, we’re taking a look at the brand-new Aqara H2 UK Smart Outlet — Aqara’s first ever UK wall socket.
UK smart outlets have always been a bit… meh. Plenty of bulky smart plugs, but very few decent in-wall options. The H2 changes that.
This is a fully wired dual wall socket with optional USB-C ports, energy monitoring, and support for Zigbee, Thread, and Matter. I’ll walk you through what’s in the box, installation, Aqara app setup, and most importantly how it works inside Home Assistant — including what features you gain (and lose) depending on whether you use Zigbee or Matter.
