You did it. You beat the ender dragon. Epic. But... that was a week ago. You’ve conquered the overworld, traveling thousand of blocks at a time. You’ve conquered the nether, discovering every biome and looting fortresses and bastions. And you’ve even conquered the end, defeating the dragon and looting end cities.
Now what?
I mean, you have everything you have at your base now. Blaze rods, potion materials, building materials, swords and armor, ender pearls, everything.
But it isn’t enough. There HAS to be something you missed, something new, dangerous, exciting, terrifying, anything.
And that’s when you find it.
When loading a world, you see those tips that are usually on loading screens of other games. But one of them, about some kind I boss being hidden in one of the paintings, catches your eye, so you look at your wall, where a painting hangs, and you realize something...
A sort of “T” shape in a familiar kind of brown and a familiar cube shape, and three black skulls on the tops of each block.
You realize the brown T is most likely soul sand, seeing as these paintings were around before the nether update and soul soil, and the skulls of course being wither skeleton skulls. You open your storage chests filled with nether resources and gather boat those things
Something inside you felt like what ever this thing was, it was going to be big. After all, the eyes of the skulls seemed to be glowing with power in the painting. You decide to go to the nether into a biome you don’t care about, a soul sand valley. You put on some souls speed boots and enter the biome, making sure it’s far away from your nether base.
You make the soul sand T, but then pause. Are you sure you want to do this? It did say it was a boss after all, and the ender dragon was certainly a challenge. And since this was optional and not required to build, who knows what kind of horror this could release...
Not knowing what else to call it, and just basing it off of the skulls that seems to be needed to spawn it, you just call this hypothetical horror “The Wither.”
