A note about their use: the models were created and textured in Blender 2.74's Internal render engine and have not been optimized for use in more advanced Blender versions or other software. Porting them to other animation programs might result in reduced quality because these models use subsurf modifiers for their "smoothness". The modifiers can be applied to the models permanently to keep their details, but that requires the deletion of all the morph keys controlling their facial movements. Final Wars Godzilla was modeled using reference photos of the filming suit and movie screencaps. The exact shape of the head, which fans have alternately compared to a cat, a meerkat and a rat, was hard to nail down, but I think I got close enough. The model even has a bonus "neck crinkle" option to mimic the official suit's deformation around its head.
For Axor, I decided not to update the original cartoon design too much because I enjoy its oldschool charm and he already has a look that stands out just fine. I'm not much of a proponent of attempts to redesign old kaiju as "realistic" or "cool", so I only added minimal extra details, like a forked tongue, more teeth and a "sleeker" head because his head had an inconsistent design in the cartoon. One aspect of him that I'm not too keen on are the twig legs, but I kept them anyway for the sake of staying faithful to his design.
