We’re closing out our #FarmERtoFork series with a visit to the Mayfield family in Buckeye, AZ—three generations deep in agriculture and still growing strong. 🚜
Richard Mayfield began farming cotton, grain, and alfalfa here in the 1970s. Today, that legacy lives on through Sunbelt Transplants, now run by his grandson, Jacob Mayfield. Thanks to Arizona’s warm climate, they’re able to grow onion transplants while most of the country is still in winter.
With hopes for a fourth generation on the horizon, the Mayfields show us that agriculture isn’t just a job—it’s a heritage. 💚
