Game is unmodified, with zero patches, zero mods. Straight out of the box. It does not matter if you use FF13 Fix, it does not matter if you set compatibility to whatever or change driver versions, not even DXVK will save you. The game is just plain unplayable, has never been fixed and will never be fixed. This is the real status of gaming on Radeon: your old games will probably never work again once they become broken once on Radeon.
This issue exists since Vega, all the way to RDNA2 (here running on an RX 6800).
This issue does NOT exist on NVIDIA hardware.
2023 Update: STILL BROKEN! Tested on RTX 3060 and RTX 4090 = perfect Final Fantasy 13. AMD Radeon does not care about supporting old games, and you should NOT buy their cards expecting old games (or even new ones) to work correctly. You have been warned.
