Head through to Lake Macalania where you'll meet Clasko, a Knight who appears to enjoy caring for Chocobos. As such tell him to become a Breeder and follow his passion.
Speak to everyone in the Agency and then outside Yuna will leave ahead of the party to meet with Seymour, and we get ambushed by Al Bhed, but have a brief opportunity to swap weapons. Given they use Machina, put Lightningstrike Equipment on.
Head to the next screen and you'll fight the Crawler. The Crawler is paired with a negator which disables magic (and summoning), whilst this is up use Lulu to buff Magic and Wakka can take out the Negator in a couple of rounds. The Mana Beam is the biggest threat here, as it will likely be doing over 1,000 to each party member. I didn't even notice Yuna was available for selection. Ixion probably works quite well, but I opted to just tank damage and revive with Lulu's Thundara still doing a nice chunk. Physicals that aren't Lightningstrike weapons didn't seem worth it at all, however. Slow on Crawler and Haste on Lulu can help a fair bit.
After the fight Rikku repairs the Snow Speeders and we arrive at the Crevasse. Cross the Ice and we'll finally reach the Macalania Temple.
Inside swap back to regular stat up weapons.
We see Jyscal's Sphere and the truth about his death is revealed, Seymour killed him, and has been following a path that will end with the destruction of Spira.
Speak to everyone in here, and learn everything you can about Seymour from the perosn sitting down.
Next up we confront Seymour, which obviously hits Wakka the hardest, especially after just finding out about Rikku being an Al Bhed.
Still he will fight normally against Seymour, desptie being him being a Maester.
In the battle you'll want to get rid of the Guardians first. There's two ways, Stone Breath from Kimahri or Steal the Hi-Potions and just plug damage into them as they only have 2,000HP.
Tidus/Yuna/Wakka all have talk options, which should be executed.
Alone, Seymour should fall fairly quickly, but then he'll summon Anima.
Switch to Yuna and Grand Summon ????, which turns out to be Shiva.
Use Heavenly Strike twice then Diamond Dust. Diamond Dust should give you the trophy for 9,999 damage. After this you'll probably need to heal, which you can do by casting Blizzara upon Shiva. Boost for a few turns to get the second Diamond Dust and you'll get the Overkill with it.
Seymour rejoing the fray and will likely one shot Shiva unless he's either on Blizzaga on his cycle, or you're at full health and he uses either Waterga/Thundaga. Firaga obviously one shots regardless. Shiva can win by herself in this scenario with another Diamond Dust, but most likely you'll be back using your party.
Magic Break will make this easier, and Nul spells will render him useless if you care to do so, but once Magic Break is applied just go all out and he'll go down quick enough.
Seymour is seemingly dead, but before Yuna can send him his Guado companions turn up and take the body, foreshadowing that it may not be the last we see of him.
We have the Cloister of Trials puzzle to solve as we decide to flee. Use the Macalania Sphere to create a bridge across the top after you've pushed a pillar through the ice. You'll then unlock a second pillar with a glyph with you needing to repeat the process. Below you can also take the Destruction Sphere from the Pillar and place it to the side to reveal a chest with a Luck Sphere. Reform the bridge and now we're fleeing with Guado chasing us.
You'll need to steal the Hi-Potions from these Guardians too, and deal with monsters they summon. Once outside you'll no longer be pursued, nab the chest on the route back and heal before reaching the lake.
At the lake you'll encounter the Wendigo supported by Guado Guardians. Apply the same strategy as with Seymour, but this time using Power Break. Steal Hi-Potions and focus on the Guardians first, and then you can Blind and Provoke Wendigo and chip away at it. An Overdrive from Tidus or Wakka should get the Overkill.
We'll end up at the Bottom of the Lake. Talk to Rikku for some long scenes and then speak to Yuna to pass through. Nab the two chests and speak to Auron. Tidus will finally accept at this point that Jecht is sin, and we'll wake up in the Oasis, where the part ends.
