This is a battle against the Boss Rude, on NORMAL MODEL, with a team that has completed the game on all difficulties, which is why it will seem easy.
The general strategy is the same of course, it will just take much longer without the proper weapons, materia & limit breaks.
TIPS
- Rude's weak to Wind magic, so you can use your Elemental+Wind on weapons, or just cast spells with Aerith as you use Cloud for physical attacks.
- This fight technically has 2 phases. Rude likes to rely on melee type attacks. Much like Tifa. He hits much harder than Reno , but can also be countered in Punisher or with Counterstance.
- Rude will employ some melee combos and also some grab type moves that bind you while he's attacking. If you get caught, switch to Aerith and hit him while you can; heal as needed and switch back to Cloud.
- Once he's down to about 50% power, he will also start to use Counter type attacks. When he looks like he's blocking, don't attack him with physical attacks - use magic instead.
- Keep this up until the fight's over.
