Chapter Overview:
The party arrives at the breathtaking amusement park, the Gold Saucer, looking for a brief reprieve. However, the fun is shattered when a mysterious gunner opens fire in the Battle Square, and the blame is instantly pinned on Barret. As Barret pursues the culprit down into the Dustbowl—the lawless wasteland of Corel Prison beneath the park—the rest of the team follows, only to be taken hostage by the prison's eccentric underworld boss, Gus. To secure their freedom and earn the right to find Barret, Cloud must enter the high-stakes Chocobo Square Invitational and race for their lives. Deep within the scrap heaps, Barret is forced to confront the ghosts of his past and the tragic reality of his old friend, Dyne.
