Previously, Cloud, Aerith, and Tifa met Bugenhagen at the Observatory in Cosmo Canyon. After they explored the observatory, Bugenhagen gave them an interesting and slightly disturbing overview of planetology in his planetarium. After collecting some goodies from the Observatory Treasury, they attended a seminar at the Planetology Assembly. Now, Cloud will attend the River of Lights ceremony at the Torch.
