An extremely hazardous glitch that locks you out of finishing the game outright. If you go into the menu right as you touch Diamond Weapon and save the game and reload the save, you'll find that Diamond Weapon is nowhere to be seen and you cannot progress as the barrier at the Northern Crater never disappears.
