Did you ever wonder what would happen if Cloud wondered off on his own during the flashback? Now you can! To perform this glitch, do the following steps:

1) After leaving the mansion, hold downright and Run until you run into the gate
2) Hold down and run until you run into Zangan. Afterwards, let go of Run and tap up until you line up as you see in the second attempt in this video. You can tap down if you need to readjust, but do not tap left or right.
3) Hold Run, then L1, then Down until you run into the person on the right. After this, let go of Run, then after you are fully into Zangan, let go of L1, and then finally Down. After this, you should be able to run between Zangan and the person on the right by holding Run and downright.

Note, on the new 2026 version, this doesn't help at all. On older versions of the game, you can setup a death warp to Mt. Nibel by getting to the second screen with Young Cloud.
