Final Fantasy Resonance by Square Enix Causes Nuclear Twitter Drama. The FF Resonance trailer dropped, and according to the JRPG Mafia, this is exactly what YOU wanted when you said you wanted mainline AAA numbered Final Fantasy games to go Turn-Based again (they all conveniently forgot Clair Obscur Expedition 33). A repackaged mobile game, Brave Exvius, now a Single Player game. Who would have thought if you took FF15 / FF16 and made it Turn-Based, it would suddenly transform into an HD-2D game like Octopath? Jokes aside, you can tell I was in a bad mood when I made this video. I was already tired from burning the candle at both ends to finish my Reaction / Discussion video for FF7 Revelation, part 3 of the FF7 Remake & Rebirth trilogy. I was minding my own business, unaware that this game had even dropped, when the usual suspects started attacking me on Twitter nonstop. They were angry that I didn't say anything. So I said something. That made them even angrier. The Final Fantasy Debate in a nutshell, ladies and gentlemen.
This fandom acts like SE is holding FF17's gameplay hostage to the sales of Resonance. "You'd better buy this game you don't want - otherwise there's NO CHANCE that FF17 will be Turn-Based". I've never seen anything like this in any fandom.
