We continue proceeding through the tower where we eventually reach the highest possible point to reach from the underworld where Rubicante who is one of the four elemental archfields is talking to Dr. Lugae about his latest military exploits at Eblan.
Rubicante promptly leaves however, we promptly engage in a boss battle against Dr. Lugae who was left behind to run things around here and it's a fairly unusual boss battle.
We get his key which we use to unlock the door to the room where there are a number of Goblins controlling the cannons and so, Yang pointlessly sacrifices himself to stop the cannons.
We head down to the bridge where Golbez tries to eliminate us however, Cid swoops down with the airship and takes up back to the surface however, he wants to play the pointless sacrificing game in jumping down with a bomb instead of just throwing it.
