The party is shocked when they meet the evil mastermind. It is Garland that the Four Fiends took back into time to set everything in motion. However, he is not Garland anymore, but now known as Chaos! They defeat him after fighting valiantly, ending the time loop that Chaos had created, and bringing the light back to the world.
