Generous in both size and content, a Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth demo stealth launched on Switch 2 and Xbox Series consoles last week. The outlook for Switch 2 in particular is far better than expected; cutbacks are inevitable but it boasts a dynamic 540p-1080p resolution while docked (and 380p-756p while portable), plus the use of screen space reflections and ambient occlusion to sweeten the deal. Unique optimisations are also made here to try lock down a 30fps target - as Tom and Oliver discuss in depth.
