The release of Wolfenstein 3D and Doom in the 1990s inspired many to push older systems to the limit to replicate the frenetic first person action those games offered.
But it wasn't until 2021 and the release of GMG's Final Assault for Atari's 8-bit micros that we finally have a first person experience for an 8-bit which is just as jaw dropping.
