On the ride back home I noticed the usual congestion and positioned myself for filtering when the nice truck driver let me pass and enter his lane. I was riding very slowly but slightly more than traffic as usual. Then the red car decided it wanted to switch lanes onto me. No indicator, no mirror check no head check... nothing.
These things happen often and that is why I ride slow in these situations and wear full gear all the time.
The red car bumped my leg and the engine guard - no damage to my leg nor the motorcycle.
On the flip side, same driver could've rear ended me easily and the damage to my spine would be horrendous, so I pick filtering any time.
Ride safe.
