Independent filmmaker Bai Di, a master from Tokyo University of the Arts interview Bi Lijun and Mie Sugiyama in Ishinomaki, Miyagi Prefecture, for her first documentary "Shenfen." Bi, from China, and Sasaki, from Taiwan, emigrated to Tohoku through marriage and run a social club of foreign women since the March 11 earthquake. Bai's film centers on how the disaster affected foreign women in rural Tohoku.
