In this Film & Conversation event we explored the impact of climate change on European mountain landscapes. The evening started with a screening of the documentary Prominent Peaks follows climber Christian de Jong on his sustainable journey across 44 Alpine summits: a story about adventure, responsibility, and the future of fragile ecosystems.
Afterwards, experts continued the evening with an in-depth conversation with:
• Lander van Tricht – climate & glacier scientist (VUB / ETH Zurich): explains what glaciers reveal about the speed and impact of climate change.
• Martijn Groenleer – professor of Public Governance (Tilburg University): discusses policy and governance challenges in climate and energy transitions.
• Morten Byskov – philosopher (Tilburg University): reflects on ethical responsibilities and climate justice.
• Dirk van den Berg – Impact Developer Research (Tilburg University) & moderator: connects science, activism and societal action in the conversation.
