This is what people do not understand about facial filler.
It does not always stay as a perfect little “lift” exactly where it was placed.
With special imaging, filler can show up almost like a map inside the face — and when highlighted in green, you can actually see where it has spread, layered, and sometimes migrated over time.
That matters.
Because filler is hydrophilic.
It can draw water.
Not once.
Not twice.
But repeatedly over time.
So a face that was supposed to look lifted and refreshed can slowly start to look heavier, puffier, wider, or less defined.
This is why I am so careful about simply “adding more.”
More filler is not always more youthful.
Sometimes it is just more weight, more water attraction, and more distortion.
The goal is not to fill every hollow.
The goal is to understand the face before you start changing it.
