The latest pandemics have brought to light the risk of zoonotic diseases linked to animal-related crime. These crimes have the potential to accidentally or deliberately bring animal diseases into human communities. Law enforcement and veterinarians must work together to fight agrocrime and reduce the risk to public health. Together, INTERPOL, FAO and WOAH are supporting their membership in fighting agrocrime.
