Hello and welcome to the end of Round 1 of the Fighting 50 competition, based off of Produce 101 with a splash of SIXTEEN.
Finally, results for Round 1 are here!! Are you excited?! I know I am! The participants all worked incredibly hard in Round 1. We had all the issues one can expect with a competition or singing in general: illness, technology issues and lots of people doing their best to step out of their comfort zone and sing or rap parts they might not have chosen normally.
I'm already super excited to start Round 2. My favorite part of running competitions is meeting new people and seeing lots of people make new friends. I think we definitely had a lot of that in Round 1. Thank you all for being so kind and supportive of each other! I have to admit, you guys were so sweet that it had me jealous that I couldn't participate! (I'm not even joking........................ LOL)
In this round, participants gained points a few ways. Each judge (there's 5 of us! :)) had 100 points split up into different categories, including pitch and pronunciation. On top of that, there were two groups doing the same song. One of those teams could win bonus points from the judges for our favorite overall, and one team was also able to win points for having the most views, comments and likes.
I am thrilled to say that, due to some drop outs, everyone will be passing to Round 2. Unfortunately, that will not be the case in Round 3 (unless, of course, we lose 5 people, but let's hope we don't!). Round 3 will consist of 25 contestants and Round 4 will... round off with a final 20.
You all did magnificently and you will see soon how close the points were. Team bonuses mean a great deal with points are this close!
Do your best in round 2~ Your teams will be coming at you very soon!
