I can't believe my very first LaDS video is a cry for help to save a character who was canceled barely a week after he was announced, but alas, that is the situation we find ourselves in đ
For those unaware, here is the TL;DR
Valko is the long-awaited sixth love interest in the highest grossing otome game of all time Love and Deepspace by Chinese company Infold. For reasons still debated, a part of the players, mostly the Chinese part, absolutely HATED Valko the moment his first trailer dropped. Majority of complaints were about his looks, such as racist remarks about him being "too tan" and that he "looked gay" for being very muscular. After just 8 days after his announcement, Infold declared that not only was Valko now canceled, but they wouldn't release any new love interests ever.
Not only was this devastating for the players who were excited for the new love interest and already felt emotionally attached to Valko, but for the massive team who had been working on him as a character, developed his story, given him his voice and animated him for YEARS just for his release to be canceled before he was given a chance.
Ever since then, players have fought tooth and nail to get Valko back, everything from boycotting the game, leaving negative reviews, signed petitions, sending emails, unfollowing all of LaDS' social medias to donating to wolf rescues.
Infold has been radio silent ever since canceling Valko, which is now the longest they have ever gone without posting anything anywhere. We are taking this as a good sign, and we will keep fighting, not just for Valko, but for the players and team who were completely betrayed through his cancelation.
This isn't just about a fictional character; it's about blatant favoritism of one part of the player base and rewarding bigoted and hateful behavior.
Please help us save this character and the game's future!

Heres a different type of video: A concept video! What I meany that is that this video, in comparison to my usual WIPs and previews, is not a work in progress or a future video - its simply me experimenting with these two scenes and doing very bare bones editing to see if the scenes would work together or not. Literally just an experiment.
When I posted my Quasimodo color palette experiment, I mentioned I badly wanted to find someone to ship Quasimodo with. Someone reminded me of my OLD Quasimodo and Belle video which also had Esmeralda and Beast in it. It was an old video where I was planning to simply switch the couples around while sticking mostly to the BATB plot. It sparked some creativity in my brain and I might be leaning towards shipping Quasimodo with Belle. It would make almost too much sense given that Belle is my usual choice for making a (non)Disney avatar version for myself (and have been for over a decade) and Quasimodo being one of my first cartoon crushes and STILL being a comfort character of mine today. It almost feels like self-insert and... its healing my childhood heart a bit xD
So Quaselle (yes, I love their ship name SO MUCH) might become a big ship of mine. Too early to say, but the seeds are planted - lets see what becomes of it xD

This video has been a long time coming, and Im so grateful for PrincesStarlights patience with me! My real life has gone insane due to my boss having decided she wanted me to work at a different one of her clinics, which means that Im getting up at 6am every day, home from work at 7pm and have to go to bed at 9pm. Thats 2 hours a day I have time to do any editing, and in general just relax and mentally charge for the next day. I only have two more weeks of my internship though and after that, Im heading back to school and I CANT WAIT.
I was originally going to add some more details to this, like putting some more stuff on the magazine, edit the shawl over Holli at the end, add more people, etc. But PrincesStarlight has already been so patient with me, so I didnt want to make her wait for my part any longer. I also have a couple other MEP parts due, so Im gonna have to focus on those now and just ignore my need to shove more small details into this xD
And yes, this video belongs in the Hollina Celebrity AU, as others have already guessed based on my previews and teasers Cx
Plot:
Lina is dating the famous pop rock star Holli Would, unbeknownst to the world around them. One evening though, when leaving Hollis place, Holli spots a paparazzi ready to take a photo of them. Holli, being an insane adrenaline and drama junkie, seizes the opportunity for some excitement and ensures the paparazzis next paycheck.
Lina is now recognized by people around here, and its all just a little too much for our redhead next door. When Lina is about to break down, Holli comes just in time to rescue her from the hoard around her. They drive off to spend some time alone, and Lina remains unaware that all this mess is Hollis fault. For now.
And yes, Holli is indeed looking back at us, the audience, at the end ;)

Story
Christopher decides tonight is the night hell propose to his long-time girlfriend Jasmine who happily accepts. Unbeknownst to him though, a blood moon is taking place tonight and its far more literal than he had expected because it turns his girlfriend into a blood-thirsty vampire! Before he can outrun her, she has already approached him and sinks her fangs into his neck, his blood dripping onto the picture frame that fell on the floor during his failed escape.
Some time later, Jasmine wakes up none the wiser of what has happened and sees her dead fiance lie in a pool of his own blood. With the taste of iron on her teeth, she cries over his body, wondering what happened after she accepted his ring.

Ive been questioning pretty much everything you see here and I originally finished this on my birthday at the 18th of October, but kept it hidden for a couple of days before posting it, just in case I found something MORE I wanted to change cause I kept changing things for a couple of hours after I originally thought of it as finished. But I guess its healthy to remember this feeling of insecurity sometimes so you dont become too cocky lol.
Either way... tragic Charmine is tragic! Poor babes cant catch a break in this one xD

Story:
Wendy notices her crush Alice walking by her in the school yard. Her heart goes haywire and all she can think of is how much she wants to kiss Alice. Her brain though intervenes and starts a fight with her heart. When Alice giggles and smiles at Wendy though, her brain wins the fight and she ignores Alice. This saddens Wendys heart, while her brain is pleased with her.
Man, oh, man, was I happy that I noticed Ardeas MEP sign-up! Right before it was posted, I became obsessed with the song. I, of course, made a note of making a Hollina video out of it, BUT since younger characters were permitted for this MEP, I took the chance to do some Wenlice! Its so rare that younger characters are allowed in romantic MEPs (or a lot of MEPs in general, actually) so I couldnt NOT take advantage.
If youre into Hollina, you know what Wenlice is actually my personal child portrayal of the two, so if you want, you can imagine this as younger Hollina - even though I didnt change their hair, etc. to match Hollina :)

Story:
This video is of course a part of my Thraxette Beauty and the Beast AU, which Ive only shared a few details of so far, but this is a definite scene in that AU. Odette has discovered Thraxs bedroom, a completely destroyed room in comparison to all the other beautiful rooms in the castle where he resides. In that room, she finds him in a rare mood; somber. Hes usually sarcastic, snarky or downright threatening, but she caught him off guard and he fails in hiding his emotions. Without fully piecing the puzzle together, she notices a torn up painting behind him of a man who looks vaguely familiar to her... almost as if she knew him in another life, or perhaps a different age? Not willing to let the opportunity pass her by, Odette reaches out her hand to touch Thraxs skin and he cant help but lean into the touch; the first touch he has felt for well over a decade.

Theme: The character singing dreams of their beloved. The catch? Their beloved only exists in their dreams and isnt a normal human being.
You must choose one human character, male or female depending on which part you take, and create their lover who is non-human. Their lover can be anything from a merfolk to a fairy to anything you can think of that is non-human. No animals though, the lover must be edited to look like a non-human creature. So no anthros, but you can put animal features on a human x3 When claiming characters, please tell me what you plan to do with your non-human character :)
Be creative with the dream aspect. Does your characters lover only exist in the realm of dreams or are they just a figment of your characters imagination? Is your character mentally ill and is that why theyre seeing this creature in their dreams? Or does the creature have evil plans with your character?
I want this to be visually STUNNING, ok? So get those gorgeous magical backgrounds in this! :D

- HD footage (that means its not enough to just render your part in HD, if the original movie looks like crap your part is not considered HD) and full-screen please (that means 16:9)

Hey dudes, dudettes and dudles!
Its finally here! Ive been working on this almost every single day since we entered the new year and Im so happy with the result!
I also want to thank @flameliberator1835 for wanting to plot with me with their character Henry Blackwood aka the guy Maua still doesnt know the name of... but hes there and I promise shell ask him next round if I dont get eliminated before then lolol đ
PLOT

00:51 Gathering courage
Maua is standing in corner by herself at the White Party, contemplating how to approach Mr. White. Shes dreamed of meeting him for her whole life, but now that she has the chance to talk to him, shes so nervous her hands are shaking. When she finally gathers enough courage to approach him, Mr. White announces hell be right back with more win and leaves the room. Despite this being the perfect opportunity to talk to him alone, Maua loses her nerve and walks in the opposite direction.
01:28 Blackout
The storm outside is tired of the party and with another lightning striking near the White mansion, the power goes out and the guests are left in complete darkness. Maua, not being a fan of the dark, starts fumbling around and collides into a mans arms who catches her before she falls. They share some banter before agreeing to try and find candles to try and shed some light on the situation, but before they can do that the power returns.
02:49 The handsome stranger
Maua sees the man properly for the first time and feels her cheeks get flushed. When he playfully asks her if her mother knows shes out, she struggles with forming a proper sentence until a couple of screams demand attention.
03:12 Poor timing
Maua and the handsome man run towards the screams and find Mrs. White bend over her deceased husbands body. Out of pure shock, Maua starts crying and doesnt hear whats being said around her until the man from earlier puts a hand on her shoulder and asks her if shes alright. One of the other party guests decides its time to leave the crime scene, but on his way out, two detectives have already showed up.
