This is my second publishable attempt at the latest challenge from the MC Creator Challenges group:

Challenge 34: Fight Club

GOAL:
The goal is to observe as many mobs killing each other as you can before time runs out.

RULES:
Create a brand new survival world with cheats on.

Game Difficulty: Hard

Game Setting: Keep Inventory On.
Turn daylight cycle off (gamerule doDaylightCycle False)

Time Set Midnight.

Length of challenge: 10 minutes

No map mods. Zoom is allowed.

Starter Items: 1 bed and 1 shield
Optional: give yourself as many night vision potions as you want.

If using a datapack, just create the world with the settings above and go.

If playing without,

1) Create the world with the settings above.

2) Give yourself a bed and shield.

3) Set your gamemode to Survival.

4) Set gametime to midnight

Challenge ends when 10 minutes have elapsed from when you started.

The person with the most observed mob on mob deaths wins! You score 1pt per mob killed by another mob. Example: A creeper kills 3 zombies. Your score would be 3. The creeper cannot be counted in this situation.

Challenge runs until February 7th-ish

$Hold Your Breath - run 3 The Hold Your Breath Challenge Set by EddCase GOAL: Gather the following items as fast as possible without leaving the water. Magma Block / Heart of the Sea / Gold Block / Redstone Dust / Glow Ink Sac RULES: 1) Create new world. In CREATIVE / HARD difficulty / random seed. Map Mods not allowed. Coordinates are permitted. If NOT using the datapack 2) When setting up the game: Set the GameRule KeepInventory true (Keep inventory after death ON)) 3) Give yourself the following items: (1) Diamond Pick (1) Diamond Axe (1) Diamond Shovel (1) Crafting Table (64) Steak an enchanted turtle helmet with the following command: /item replace entity @s armor.head with turtle_helmet{Enchantments:[{id:minecraft:respiration,lvl:200s},{id:minecraft:aqua_affinity,lvl:2s},{id:minecraft:unbreaking,lvl:3s}]} 1 4) Give yourself Night Vision: /effect give @s minecraft:night_vision 999999 0 true 5) Give yourself Dolphins Grace: /effect give @s minecraft:dolphins_grace 999999 1 true 6) Set Gamemode to survival: /gamemode survival 7) Locate the nearest deep ocean. /locatebiome minecraft:deep_ocean Teleport to the coordinates If youre using the datapack, right click the Start/Stop item and skip to step 10 (begin!). 8) Set your world spawn in case you die during the challenge. /setworldspawn 9) Issue a /time query gametime command to note your starting time. 10) Collect (1) each of: Magma Block / Heart of the Sea / Gold Block / Redstone Dust / Glow Ink Sac 11) When you have the items issue a 2nd /time query gametime 12) Subtract your first time from your final time to determine your score. Person with the fastest time wins. Be aware though that even an extended potion will only last 8 minutes) Dolphins Grace: /effect give @s minecraft:dolphins_grace 999999 1 true 5) Set your world spawn in case you die during the challenge. /setworldspawn 6) Set the time back to morning (to give yourself a full day at the start): /time set day 7) Set Gamemode to survival: /gamemode survival 8) If you ARE using the DATAPACK, start the timer by right clicking the Start/Stop item (a Warped Fungus on a Stick). If youre NOT using the datapack get your start gametime and note it down. /time query gametime 9) Fill your 7 buckets with 7 unique items 10) When you have the items If you ARE using the DATAPACK, stop the timer by right clicking the Start/Stop item If youre NOT using the datapack get your final gametime and note it down. /time query gametime 11) Subtract your start gametime from your final gametime to determine your score. If you ARE using the DATAPACK, it does this for you. Just note down the final time. Note: If you die, you lose any effects that have been on you - in this case Night Vision and Dolphins Grace. If you are NOT using the datapack then you will need to reapply them by issuing the commands and/or drinking the potions If you ARE using the DATAPACK, just click the Start/Stop item TWICE as soon as you respawn and this will reapply those effects Person with the fastest time wins.
