I took the MP215 Fiesta ST on track on Sydney Motorsport Parks fastest track layout, the North Circuit.
I was expecting to be overtaken by everything knowing that this was the fastest track layout and the kind of cars that would be attending but..... I was very surprised! This little 1.6L ecoboost punches far above it's weight and definitely upsets some drivers of more expensive cars. An absolute little ripper of a bargain performance hatch. If you have one of these and have never taken it on track, do yourself a favour, get some good tyres and brakes and get out there.
The car power wise is as Ford delivered it with only the MP215 upgrade purchased with the new car and the only upgrades being the Oz Racing Superturismo LM wheels and the brakes from one of my previous videos. The car still has the standard intercooler and exhaust. Even the entry level Pirelli P-Zero Nero GT tyres held up OK for most of the day.
