Learn how to capture a beautiful oak grove panorama with the expert guidance of artist and landscape architect Chip Sullivan.

Using a Hahnemühle The ZigZag Book, Chip first lines up and lightly sketches his composition with a Pentel Twist-Erase Pencil in 2B. He then goes over his outline with a Winsor & Newton Fineliner Pen, using techniques such as crosshatching and stippling to increase volume and perspective. Then, starting with the background, Chip works from light to dark with Winsor & Newton Promarker Brush Markers to enhance shadows and create an ethereal glow. Lastly, after grabbing a stick, leaf, and rock from his location, he returns to his studio to add details and refine his work.
